Identity Confirmed

Bravo to the talented children’s choir for delivering and blessing us with a fantastic gospel message, “Agape League: A Super Hero Adventure about the Fruit of the Spirit.” The General Agape has called the mighty Agape League together to solve a crisis in Suburbia City! Calling on the super-powered fruits of the spirit available to every follower of Christ, these heroes must also face an enemy within their own ranks when Ironblade forgets his superhero identity (self-control) and becomes entangled in the pervasive worldly culture. Each child’s identity is confirmed as a fruit of the Spirit.

Mrs. Camille, our associate music director, said, “The Agape League was such a beautiful representation of the gospel and the Fruits of the Spirit. There’s something truly moving about kids coming together to use their voices to teach US what we are teaching THEM week to week. The PVMC kids musicals showcase children from our own congregation, as well as others who come from other local church bodies. Seeing unity in our tiny disciples and watching kids work together to produce something like a musical is always inspiring and can teach us as adults to do the same. One song that really moved me each time I was lucky enough to hear the kids sing it (and WOW did they sing it!) was called “Peace of God.” The chorus said:

‘So I will trust in You. I’ll say You are my God.

My life is in Your hands.

And the peace of God will guard your heart,

And the peace of God will fill your mind.

It’s a peace too great to comprehend,

And the peace of God will reign.’”

Thank you to all that orchestrated another phenomenal production that gave our children the opportunity to express their faith and lead worship. We are confirming their identity in Jesus! Isaiah 54:13, “All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace.”
