Easter Jam
It may have been cold and rainy on the Saturday before Easter but it was bright and beautiful when you walked into PVMC’s Christian life center! The first thing I noticed was how beautiful the stage was! There were beautiful large flowers, two huge carrot bundles and dancers wearing pretty colors! As advertised, the Easter Jam was an Easter egg hunt and so much more! It was an interactive show with singing, dancing and games that engaged all ages. Children were excited, dancing in the aisle and soaking it all in, standing up front! The afternoon ended with an Easter egg hunt, the Easter bunny and snacks of chocolate pudding with worms! I saw several families, that I know, who do not attend a church. What a great outreach for our community!
The kids loved watching Mr. Paul, in his light blue suit, get dirty. He kept telling them he did not want to get dirty but all through the show he got dirtier and dirtier! Every time he turned around he bumped into someone carrying chocolate, he got sprayed or he sat in chocolate! Throughout the Jam the kids were reminded of Jesus dying on the cross for our sins. Because Jesus came back to life three days later, we get to have a new life. John 11:25, “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he may die, he shall live.’"
I saw Mr. Paul on Easter morning and he had on a clean blue suit! There was no chocolate on him! I told him I could not believe it came clean and he laughed and said the message continues about being washed clean.1 Corinthians 6:11, ”Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.“ Our sins are washed away and we are made clean! Let us not forget the real meaning of Easter.
